Pastor Jeffery K. Harvard was born in Miami, FL (Dade County) and raised in Georgia in the suburbs of Atlanta.  Upon graduating from the now former Walker High School in Decatur, GA, Pastor Harvard went on join the United States Army.  He served seven honorable years during which time he earned an Associated Degree in Interior Design.

While stationed at Ft. McPherson in East Atlanta, he began to worshiping with his family members.  First at Hinsley Temple COGIC, under the leadership of the late Elder Luther R. Hinsley; then later at Word of Deliverance COGIC, under the leadership of Elder Frank Daniel.  In 1986 Pastor Harvard rededicated his life to Christ and begin to establish his relationship with God.  Pastor Harvard joined a small group that begin to meet for bible study and out of that group Full Gospel COGIC was formed, of which Elder Willie R. Hood became pastor.  Pastor Harvard was ordained as a minister under Pastor Hood’s leadership in 1997.  In 2001, after completion of all required courses, Pastor Harvard was ordained an Elder in the Church Of God In Christ by the late Prelate of the Central Georgia Jurisdiction Bishop Chandler D. Owens.

After the passing of Pastor Willie R. Hood, whom Pastor Harvard served for 17 years, Bishop Chandler D. Owens in February 2010 appointed Pastor Harvard as the shepherd over what is now Greater Full Gospel COGIC.  Pastor Harvard contends that his life is an example of how God can direct and even redirect your life to the place he desires for you to be.

Pastor Harvard’s desire is to have a ministry where the uncompromised Word of God is preached, where God’s presence can heal those that are wounded, and where lives of people can be redirected as to live out their full potential in God.  Pastor Harvard’s signature scripture for the church is 1 John 4:4b, “…Because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

Pastor Harvard is the proud father of three.  As well as an equally proud grandparent of two.
