OUR HISTORY

HISTORY OF GREATER FULL GOSPEL

1991

  • In August of 1991 a small group of about seven people begin a prayer meeting in the living room of Deacon Bill and Missionary Bettye Ficklin.

 

  • Elder Willie R. Hood, along with his wife Missionary Rodella Hood, was called on to be the first pastor of what would be established as Full Gospel C.O.G.I.C.

 

  • In October of that year services were moved to the Becker Elementary School in the rear of the Becker Seven Day Adventist Church on Covington Hwy in Decatur, GA.

1993

  • In 1993 the church moved to 2300 Panola Road, the White House on the Hill which through renovation became the first independent sanctuary for Full Gospel.

2009

  • In May of 2009 the church, by faith and the divine help of God, moved to its present location 6794 Covington Hwy. In conjunction with the move, the name was changed to Greater Full Gospel.

2010

  • Jan 4, 2010 we lost our beloved Pastor Hood due to illness after 17 years of service.

 

  • Feb 19, 2010 Elder Jeffery Harvard was appointed to be the second pastor of Greater Full Gospel.
